Concrete Bloom Pendant
Sterling Silver | Cubic Zirconia
In a city of steel and stone, beauty still insists on blooming. The Concrete Bloom Pendant was conceived and crafted on the streets of Manchester, in response to the quiet resilience of spring — the moment when fresh growth dares to emerge through cracks in the concrete, soft against the brutalism that surrounds it.
Forged from sterling silver and set with a asher cubic zirconia, this piece captures the tension between fragility and force, nature and city. The silver’s distinctive texture was not cast or etched, but impressed — hammered directly against the nearby pavement where the pendant was made, embedding the surface of the city into the metal itself. The result is a raw, honest finish that carries the literal imprint of place.
At the centre, the cubic zirconia sparkles like dew on a fresh bloom — a single note of clarity and brightness rising from the roughness of its surroundings. Together, the materials reflect an urban poetry: the hard-won grace of life that grows where it’s least expected.
The Concrete Bloom Pendant is a celebration of contrast — of life finding a way, and of jewellery rooted not only in tradition, but in environment and experience.
